Become a Foster Parent

A Glove House Foster Parent is someone who

  • Wants to make a difference in a child’s life
  • Can work as part of a team
  • Can help to prepare a child for the future: return to their birth families, to be adopted, or to live independently in the community
  • Is single, married, or living with a partner
  • Is at least 21 years of age
  • Is physically, mentally, and emotionally able to care for foster youth
  • Can financially provide for themselves and their family
  • Is flexible and capable of handling stressful situations
  • Is willing to learn from children, family and staff

What Glove House does for Foster and Adoptive Parents?

  • Glove House, Inc. provides ongoing training to family so they can meet the needs of the youth placed in their home.
  • All Glove House case workers and supervisors have cell phones and we provide 24 hour support to our families.
  • We provide individually tailored treatment planning, linkage and referrals to needed resources, activities for children and families, and therapeutic and clinical support.
  • Glove House, Inc. is a Sanctuary Certified agency and we provide trauma informed care and education to our youth families and staff.
